The story of Fetlewerki, retail assistant

My name is Fetlewerki Ghebremicael. I come from Eritrea and have lived in Switzerland, in the canton of Uri, since 2008.

For a while, I worked at Burger King in service and in the kitchen. I am a mother and have one child. In December 2022, I received confirmation of an apprenticeship and began my apprenticeship as a retail assistant at Arnold Zentrum-Markt in Altdorf in August 2023.

In the summer of 2025, I achieved my goal and successfully completed my apprenticeship as a retail assistant. My dream has come true, and I'll even be getting a job at my former training company starting in August. I'm overjoyed.
